In celebration of Month of Mozart, for this week's showdown we asked you to vote for your favorite of three classic performances of one beautiful Mozart aria. Of these great Mozart tenors, you overwhelmingly wanted to hear Fritz Wunderlich as Ferrando, as he expresses his love for Dorabella in "Un aura amorosa" (A breath of love) from Cosi fan Tutte.

At noon we played Wunderlich performing the aria, along with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Hans Zanotelli.

But my real favorite recording is the English language one by Richard Tucker. It is one of the most beautifully sung renditions of any aria that I have ever heard, and I have sung and listened to opera for most of my 58 years!

The only clip I could find was your Pavorotti video.
But.. I heard Alfredo Kraus many times on the stage of the Old Met. I have seldom heard such a sweet and lovely voice. So, I can imagine him in that role and would love to hear it on your station.

There's a singer , now that I follow, who reminds me of Kraus. Don't normally like the tenor voice, but Kraus and one singer now please me.

They are wonderful but Kraus has a special sweetness to his voice that I believe is needed for this aria.

Thank you for playing Reynaldo Hahn, I would love to hear more.

Very hard choice between Kraus and Wunderlich!
Both were wonderful.
