Bravi tutti especially Lucic and Luisotti. Fine conductor. That is why I continued to listen.

I've learned so much about the beauties of opera listening to these Saturday broadcasts. Thank you, powers who make them happen!
I first heard Rigoletto through one of those wordless LPs by Andre Kostelanetz back in the '50s. Got me buying more, which led me to listening to opera itself. Attending the Santa Fe Opera company productions under the sunset and glowing stars, amped up my appreciation, but "Rigoletto" always seemed a rather dusty artifact to showcase opera stars.

This astonishing San Francisco Opera production puts passion and high intensity human drama I doubt was in even the original. Wow! I'm swept off my chair.
God bless all the artists--and commentators, too.

Upon hearing this Rigoletto broadcast, I am again convinced that Luisotti is one of the most exciting conductors today. And the performance is electrifying.
