Darcy James Argue's Secret Society 'The Enemy Within' Tenor Saxophonist John Ellis of Darcy James Argue's Secret Society's 'The Enemy Within' (Bite The Hand)

Brooklyn-based composer Darcy James Argue and his 18-piece big-band ensemble, Secret Society, have released two albums - 2009's debut Infernal Machines and 2013's Brooklyn Babylon on New Amsterdam Records - both of which earned Grammy and Juno nominations.

Darcy James Argue's Secret Society includes Dave Pietro, Rob Wilkerson, Sam Sadigursky, John Ellis and Carl Maraghi on winds; Seneca Black, Jonathan Powell, Matt Holman, Nadje Noordhuis and Ingrid Jensen, trumpets; Mike Fahie, Ryan Keberle, Jacob Garchik and Jennifer Wharton, trombones; Sebastian Noelle, guitar; Adam Birnbaum, electric piano; Matt Clohesy, bass; Jon Wikan, drums; and Darcy James Argue, conductor.

Darcy James Argue's Secret Society's Real Enemies comes out September 30 on New Amsterdam, and the album release show takes place at National Sawdust on Sunday, Oct. 2.
