The sound of Spanish classical guitar – via the Balkans – filled The Greene Space on July 14 when the guitarist known as Miloš joined us for a live performance and conversation.

Miloš Karadaglic, born in Montenegro, first came to the public's attention in 2011 when he received a major-label record deal and released his first CD, "Mediterraneo." The album received high marks from critics and brought him a busy touring schedule that includes regular appearances as both a soloist and a guest with major orchestras. The 31-year-old recently released his third album, featuring Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez and music by Manuel de Falla.

WQXR's David Garland hosted the webcast.

Hello Milos,
Thank you for a beautiful performance. You not only bring honor to Montenegro and to all Montenegrins wherever they may be, but to the entire world. Bringing joy into this world is a special and rare gift, of which you are most blessed.
I look forward to your next concert in New York which I shall be sure to attend.
Puno toplih pozdrava i srece,
Zorka (Tudja Vecera) Milich

Bravo, bravo! Better than PBS in that this performance was live! Thank you so much for exposing me and others to such a talented musician. And it didn't hurt that he was easy on the eyes ;-).
