Music for romantic films tends to be sumptuous and rhapsodic, and sometimes even includes themes from classical music for extra depth. David Garland features familiar warmhearted music from "Out of Africa," "Doctor Zhivago" and "Three Coins in the Fountain," plus more recent scores from "Downton Abbey" and "Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind."

The classical influence is heard, including a bit of Beethoven in "Magnificent Obsession," some Liszt in "Two Loves," and Rachmaninoff/Paganini in "The Story of Three Loves." Plus, the austere romance of "The Sandpiper" and more.
