Melodica Men Joe Buono and Tristan Clarke (Melodica Men)

Just a few months after their immensely popular “Rite of Spring” arrangement, The Melodica Men are back with a “mini-suite” of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker. Tristan Clarke and Joe Buono managed to fit many of the most famous themes from the Christmas masterpiece into just over two minutes of playing, displaying not only their melodica virtuosity, but their mastery of the segue ... not to mention Buono’s penetrating eye contact.

We caught up with Buono and Clarke to pose a simple question: As two conservatory-trained musicians, why Melodica Men?

“Honestly, we do it because it's fun,” Buono says. “It's so exciting to make an arrangement, post it online and see how we're making hundreds of thousands of people from around the world laugh and smile.”

Well, there it is. We’ll leave you with their newest arrangement. Happy listening!
