'Gravity,' starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney 'Gravity,' starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney (Warner Bros.)

The new film "Gravity" takes place in orbit above the earth. The film's success relies heavily on convincing 3D special effects, but also the film's score by Steven Price plays an important role in establishing the out-of-this-world location and the drama of astronauts lost in space.

David Garland presents highlight's from "Gravity," and several other film scores that evoke the bravery and perils of space exploration, including "Apollo 13," "The Right Stuff," and "On the Threshold of Space."
