Inspired by a composer who was in the vanguard of British music in the 20th century, Benjamin Britten once wrote that hearing William Walton’s music was a “great turning point in his musical life.” This week host Bill McGlaughlin traces the arc of Walton’s life and his associations with some of the greatest artists of his time.

I heard last 2 programs. Very dramatic and turbulent music. I wonder from the playlist why the week included henry 5 but not richard III, a very famous Olivier film which has wonderful music?
