On this week’s Young Artists Showcase, host Bob Sherman highlights more of the most recent American Chopin Foundation Competition with an in-studio performance by Eric Lu, the first place recipient at this year’s competition. Lu, 17, is the youngest contestant out of the 24 outstanding young pianists at the competition in Miami.

Originally from Massachusetts, Lu is currently studying the piano at The Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia under Jonathan Biss and Robert McDonald.
