This week, we’ll continue listening to young members of Astral Artists in a performance recorded at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Philadelphia on Sept. 19, 2015. To listen to the first half of this series, click here.

Among on the program are the world-premiere performance of the “Zalistar” Trio, composed by Astral double bassist Xavier Foley and played by violinist Luosha Fang, violist Ayane Kozasa and Foley on the double bass. Foley, who made his Carnegie Hall solo debut in 2014, has also appeared as a soloist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Nashville Symphony.  

We’ll also hear Foley perform Schubert’s Piano Quintet in A Major "Trout," D. 667 with pianist Andrius Žlabys, violinist Luosha Fang, violist Born Lau and cellist Christine Lamprea.
