On November 8, 2011 (Le) Poisson Rouge and the Polish Cultural Institute New York co-presented In Memoriam Henryk Mikołaj Górecki to commemorate the first anniversary of the legendary Polish composer's passing. On October 16th, 2011, JACK Quartet hosted Extended Play, the American Composers Orchestra's Sounds of a New Century Festival all-day marathon of new-music featuring passionate and adventurous New York City-based ensembles. With JACK leading the way, the nine hour extravaganza took place from noon to midnight, featured eight ensembles, and highlighted the works of forty-four composers.

For the first time after two sold out seasons, the Tribeca New Music Festival moves to uptown host Merkin Hall with a series of performances presented by the New York Art Ensemble. But the festival will keep its downtown feel, featuring the JACK Quartet performing an eclectic concert of six composers, New York Art Ensemble Monsters! performing a work by Phillip Glass, new media artist Luke Dubois collaborating with vocal quartet New York Polyphony, Pamela Z and Bora Yoon and a night of exciting composer/performer acts.
