• Derek Bermel has been at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, NJ, and has appeared recently as a guest on Marvin Rosen's "Classical Discoveries" music programs, especially I think on one of Marvin's 24 hour marathons on WPRB, Community supported Public Radio, Princeton, NJ. • Too many people knock the L.A. Phil. Great Performances had the premier with "The Dude", the Mahler #1 and the new John Adams. There was good camera direction . I am not a musician; but watching these guys and women, I think that they could play anywhere.
