- Konzerto for A
Thank God!
Really Russian, really artistic, really beautiful! I am so happy to have heard this.
1. I want the album!
2. I want Polina Nazaykinskaya to have a big, big career!
3. I want to hear more of her music and collect her scores!
This is work by a real artist. One is not likely to find a more worthy composer in this Century.
Sincerely,
Dr. Scott Marcus Anthony Giles

- "Dear Mrs. Budd" from The Adventures of Albert Fish is well-put together but very similar to numerous other works. That is not to say everything has to be brand new and totally original but one should compose when one has an overwhelming idea and need to do so.
This piece may suffer from a less than sterling performance, though.
- "Fanfare" from I Saw the Light is a very cute piece of music reminding me of Russian circus music. It was funny and sweet music with an adorable cartoon twist!
- Bawu Dance for bawu, cello and percussion is rather cool in its way and I wouldn't mind having a recording of it.
As pleasant as it is and as much as I like it, it is not as detailed or as developed as I would like. Still, an engaging and pleasant work.
- "These Worlds In Us" is well orchestrated and develops nicely. The glissandos are effective without being a gimmick. One could wish for a more in-depth development but, overall, a good professional effort.
- I'm happy with the mysterious quality of "but because without this." It is good, professional quality mood music. That said, it is nothing more than good professional mood music.
- Ah, my previous comment refers to: Find the Devils Lead
- This was well put together in a totally un-put-together way. Interesting.
- Platinum Rows part I: I'm not a fan. I didn't like it. That said, I can tell this is a work of quality and can hear the detail in it. Some real thought went into this.
- I've noticed that there are some excellent composers who get no comments at all and there are some composers, both good and bad, who get TONS.
I think there is a certain amount of, shall we say, ballot stuffing, going on as some musicians enlist friends and family to praise them to the heavens.
This part of the process has been co-opted. The number of comments and even the comments themselves should, I propose, not be taken into account when judging who to commission.
It is a shame when something interesting and pleasant is corrupted.
