I attended the concert at Cunningham Park in Queens. The NY Philharmonic's playing was relaxed and the orchestra adopted languid tempi. For me the orchestra wasn't as sharp as say the Boston Symphony at Tanglewood or Chicago Symphony at Ravinia, but it is a free concert. Unluckily there was no fireworks show because of a renovation to the grounds. As for the weather it was the most pleasant out of a very humid week.
