Get parts, fix sticky accelerator pedals.

That's the e-mail message that car dealers worldwide got this morning from Toyota, so they can fix gas pedals in 4.2 million recalled cars and trucks.

The parts required to fix the cars are shims. The shims are needed to repair springs in the cars' gas pedal systems that aren't working or are weak. Technicians will have to be trained in the procedure, according to The Associated Press.
