Newly released photos of the World Trade Center attack show the towers coming down from a new vantage point--that of police helicopters.
ABC News acquired aerial photos from the National Institute of Standards and Technology through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. The institute had collected the images as part of its investigation into the 9/11 attack.
ABC says the Institute fulfilled the FOIA request nearly six months after ABC asked for the photos. ABC received 2,779 pictures on nine CDs. To see some of the photographs, head to WNYC.org.
