Friday, March 12, 2010

More than 40 people were killed in Lahore, Pakistan when two suicide bombers detonated their explosives today. Ten of those killed were soldiers.

The attacks occurred in a residential and commercial neighborhood where several army agencies have facilities. The Associated Press reports that around 100 people were wounded in the attack.

It's the second time Pakistan's cultural capital has been attacked this week. On Monday, a suicide car bomber killed more than a dozen people after it struck a Lahore building where police question high-value suspects.
