Tuesday, March 16, 2010

A missile attack thought to be from the US has been reported in northwest Pakistan today.

The Associated Press reports that the missile destroyed a suspected militant compound and killed more than half a dozen people in the Datta Khel region of North Waziristan.

The area where the missile struck is the home of Pakistani Taliban commander Hafiz Gul Bahadur. The AP reports that the CIA has stepped up missile strikes in Pakistan's tribal regions since December.
