In C Remixed from Le Poisson Rouge (November 8, 2009)

Cued Up on Q2, continues with a November 8, 2009 evening hosted by Radiolab's Jad Abumrad at (Le) Poisson Rouge with Todd Reynolds and Michael Lowenstern of Slow Boys and Bill Ryan's Grand Valley State University New Music Ensemble performing Terry Riley's In C with Dennis DeSantis remixing live.

In C Remixed is also the title of an ambitious project by Bill Ryan and his GVSU New Music Ensemble in which composers such as David Lang, Nico Muhly, Mason Bates, and Daniel Bernard Roumain pay musical homage with their own variations on the defining moment in 1964 when Terry Riley’s In C premiered.

Jad -- who is also a contributor to In C Remixed -- opened the evening with the story behind his discovery of In C, which was for him "the first new music piece that actually had joy."
