Godspell Returns to Broadway for 40th Anniversary

Two very well-known musicals from the 1970s drawn from the life of Jesus return to Broadway this season: Stephen Schwartz’s Godspell and Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Jesus Christ Superstar.

First to arrive is Godspell in a production at Circle in the Square Theater, directed by Daniel Goldstein. The New York Times theater critic Charles Isherwood prepares the way for you in this edition of Around Broadway.
