Email a Friend

For over 30 years, American baritone Thomas Hampson has been a steady presence across the world's opera stages, concert halls and intimate recital venues. And he shows absolutely no signs of slowing down.

This month, as he makes his company role debut as Verdi's Macbeth at the Metropolitan Opera, he will be honored by the Metropolitan Opera Guild in its “Met Mastersingers” series at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College.

He can also be heard in recital both live in Ridgewood, NJ (Sunday, March 18) and as host of Song of America airing Sunday nights at 9pm on WQXR.

Host Midge Woolsey sits down with Thomas Hampson to talk about his career, his inspirations and what's next.
