Ringside: Your Reviews of The Met’s Ring Cycle

Tuesday, May 01, 2012 - 09:49 AM

There has been plenty written about the Metropolitan Opera’s Ring cycle this season — the good, the bad and the creaky(?).

You've read our reviews of Die Walküre, Seigfried, Das Rheingold and Götterdämmerung. But as the Robert Lepage production comes to an end on May 11, we’d like to give you a chance to share your thoughts on this massive undertaking.

If you’ve attended the Ring this season at the Met, or have seen one of the HD broadcasts, give us your review below. Once the Ring concludes, we’ll post a final collective article with your opinions. To be included, we'll judge the submitted reviews based on overall understanding of the Ring and how well or creatively you express yourself. Consider:

  • What would you change?
  • Who was your most valuable singer (MVS) of the cycle?
  • Your favorite or least favorite use of The Machine?
  • The most overrated or underrated contribution to the cycle.
