This week The Brothers Balliett revisit one of their favorite new music locations: Switzerland. No strangers to the Alps, the Balliett Brothers have performed new music many times in Switzerland, ranging from huge works by Boulez to intimate chamber pop of their own composition. This show is a thanks to all their Swiss buddies, and a reminder that Swiss composers are full of invention.

Tune in to hear the icy blast of Holliger's Eisblumen for scordatora strings, the sizzling stillness of Furrer's still, and the remarkable sound of an entire orchestra made up of traditional Swiss instruments. Better than chocolate and never cheesy, join us on this Swiss sojourn.

Hosted by:

Brad Balliett and Doug Balliett
