MacArthur Genius Award-winning choreographer Bill T. Jones has been creating modern dances of profound urgency and relevance for over 30 years, engaging issues of identity and expressing social commentary in ways that have transformed the face of American dance.

Continuing to push the boundaries, Jones has set several of his dances to classical music. The upcoming New York season of The Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company at the Joyce Theater will be danced entirely to chamber music by Mozart, Schubert and Ravel, performed live by the acclaimed Orion String Quartet.
