What is the blingiest thing going on in new music? Huge, cranking orchestras decked out with triple winds and bizarre instruments, as you might find in a Boulez or Murail score? The outrageous rhythmic drive of a guy like David T. Little or Nico Muhly? Glenn Branca's sheer volume output? The perfect meld of new music and popular music attained by artists who defy labels?

This week, The Brothers take an opportunity to look at some of the most glittering, exciting, unusual and outright blinged-out music on the market. Everything from Gabriel Prokofiev and Steve Reich to Padma Newsome and David Longstreth is on the table.

Please take a moment to consider contributing to the station that makes countless hours of great new music available to you!
