Trial of 9-11 Plotter May Still Be In NYC

Thursday, April 15, 2010

Attorney General Eric Holder says New York City is still "not off the table" as a place to try alleged 9-11 plotter Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.

Holder's remarks came during a hearing in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday. Holder says he'll consider concerns of local officials in New York, and hopes to have a decision in "a number of weeks."

Senator Chuck Schumer responded in a statement, saying, "We know the administration is not going to hold the trial in New York. They should just say it already."
