The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center has acquired a deserved reputation for some of the most pristine performances from the chamber music canon. However, this episode of Cued Up on Q2 hosted by WQXR's Elliott Forrest throws back the curtain on their commitment to New Music as well with two hours of rarely heard contemporary music from their series, New Music in the Rose.

With a collection of recordings stretching back across the past five seasons worth of live performances and featuring some of the international music scene's most well-respected artists, CMS plots a convincing trajectory from the chamber music of Brahms and Beethoven to that of Kenji Bunch, Huang Ruo and Thomas Ad├Ęs.

Listen in at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 15 to discover intimate reditions of pieces by all living composers, including Sebastian Currier, Einojuhani Rautavaara, Katie Kuster, Gabriela Lena Frank, Bright Sheng, Kevin Puts and Jukka Tiensuu.
