This Sunday, October 17 at 2 p.m., join Cued Up on Q2 for some of the top performances from this year's Bang on a Can Marathon. In case you don't know, BOAC Marathon is New York's quintessential new music event. Lasting twelve hours, its genre-blurring programming features a slew of globetrotting musicians and composers in contemporary music.

This episode includes recordings of the self-taught electronic musician and songstress Mira Calix, Dutch percussion ensemble Slagwerk Den Haag, the 8-channel, 1-bit electronics of Tristan Perich, new music pre-college ensemble Face the Music, an authoritative performance of 20th century iconoclast Iannis Xenakis' Tetras, and the US premier of Fausto Romitelli's celebrated and expansive Professor Bad Trip.

Below, you'll find a slideshow of photographs from the Marathon, which was held at the World Financial Center Winter Garden on June 27, 2010.

Thanks; but when it is only all in one file, we can not really get the audio glimpse that we need in order to know what we might want to purchase.

Some time, I need to listen to a piece, one piece, several times.

Q2 very often gives us not only the full audio file, but also the individual pieces.

That would be very much appreciated.
