All over the world, the joy of Chanukah is reflected in the rich and varied musical traditions of countries where Jews have lived and worshipped for centuries. On Thursday, Dec. 5 at 7 pm watch a live video webcast from The Greene Space of a special Chanukah event featuring music from Central Europe, Central Asia, the Balkans, the Middle East and Africa, performed by three ensembles: East of the River, Shashmaqam and The Dave Levitt Klezmer Trio.

I was fascinated by all of the different music, and I thoroughly enjoyed the livestream. I found the story of the Ugandan Jews to be especially interesting. Thanks for a job well done!
