A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols

Hosted by Michael Barone, this live broadcast from the chapel of King’s College in Cambridge, England, is where the 30-voice King’s College Choir performs the legendary Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols service of Biblical readings and music.

The festival was introduced in 1918, to bring a more imaginative approach to worship. It was first broadcast in 1928, and is now broadcast to millions of people around the world. The service includes carols and readings from the Bible. The opening carol is always 'Once in Royal David's City', and there is always a new, specially commissioned carol.

Andrew: Under the Recommended Links above is a line which says, 'Download the 2013 service booklet.' The reading should be in there.
