Das Rheingold, cursed ring. Das Rheingold, cursed ring. (The Guardian)

Today at 1 pm, WQXR brings you Richard Wagner’s Das Rheingold from the Royal Opera House.

To warm up for this epic drama, this week's Saturday Morning Cartoon gives you the whole story in an extremely non-Wagnerian length. The cartoon is called, "Wagner’s 15-hour Ring Cycle…in two-and-a-half minutes." Go for the gold!
