Joshua Bell and Jeremy Denk Perform Brahms and Schumann

On Oct. 7 at 9 pm join us to hear the broadcast of a very special program that includes Grammy Award–winning violinist Joshua Bell and acclaimed pianist Jeremy Denk, a MacArthur Fellow, performing works by Schumann and Brahms in The Greene Space at WQXR.

In addition to the performance, WQXR morning host Jeff Spurgeon spoke to both artists about Bell's new album, For the Love of Brahms, and other projects.

Thank you WQXR for bringing this. Though I wanted to desperately, I had no way to come to the live at Greene Space today. The entire program was too wonderful to miss. True, as you get older, you are more drawn to the complexity and deepness of Brahms. And the fatal relationship between Robert and Clara Schumann and Brahms is something that would give the upcoming album more nuance. Joshua and Jeremy, so glad to hear two of your performance again since the last time there before the Franck album release several years ago. One last request for two of you. Please record Beethoven kreutzer. I'll be waiting ...
