Meet the artists you'll be spending time with this season

Fall is a time when New York's classical music world puts its best foot forward. From September 22-29, WQXR presents a look ahead to the 2010 fall season, series by series, venue by venue.

This year's autumn harvest runs the gamut from a New York premiere by Leonard Bernstein to a new production of Wagner's Ring; from a Shostakovich quartet cycle to a Mahler symphony series. We hear about spiritual works uptown and club happenings downtown. Plus: the classics in New Jersey and Westchester. Check back here regularly to discover what not to miss this season.
