(Marlboro, Vermont) July 17 – August 15
Don’t Miss: Opening Night, July 17
Founded in 1951 by celebrated musicians including pianist Rudolf Serkin, the Marlboro Festival has been an incubator for talented young musicians who rehearse and perform alongside established veterans in what Serkin once described as "a republic of equals." This year, pianists and co-artistic directors Richard Goode and Mitsuko Uchida play with rising stars in programs that are announced on short notice. In keeping with Marlboro's philosophy, musicians, staff, their spouses and children share meals, seminars, chores and social events, creating a true musical community.
